We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our North America DevOps team. This full-time, remote role is based in the Philippines and requires working hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET, aligning with the North America team. The position includes 10 defined Philippine holidays and may require occasional overtime to address critical needs. Infrastructure Management

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure using Terraform.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to support application development and deployment.
• Implement and manage Helm charts for consistent and reliable application deployments.

Continuous Deployment & Automation

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, automating build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement ArgoCD for continuous delivery and deployment automation.

Monitoring & Logging

• Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Integrate and maintain New Relic for application performance monitoring and critical alerting.

Resource Optimization

• Implement Karpenter to optimize resource usage in Kubernetes clusters.

Application Deployment

• Collaborate with development teams to deploy Java applications and iOS/Android apps efficiently.
• Ensure smooth integration and deployment processes for mobile applications.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and product managers to enhance the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and application performance.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce best practices for secure deployment and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
   

Your Success Profile includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  Experience
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Karpenter, and EKS/Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and New Relic.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD tools and processes, particularly GitLab.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Familiarity with Java application deployment and iOS/Android app deployment pipelines.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team.
