The Purpose Driven Career Objectives of a Sales / Business Development at KMC:

The Airfreight Pricing and Data Analysis Specialist will support the GBHQ APCC team in managing Global Airfreight tenders, including RFQ data management and trade lane analysis. 

Under supervision/guidance and in coordination with the GBHQ APCC team, you will work closely with the Regional Pricing counterparts, Air Product Management, and Key Account Management on the aspect of RFQ handling and pricing coalition process.

Main purpose:

  • Follow instructions from the GBHQ APCC team during execution of tender processes
  • Manage end-to-end airfreight global RFQs according to GBHQ APCC standards
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders throughout the RFQ handling cycle from the preparation stage up to final submission and post-mortem stage
  • Regularly update APCC databases and dashboards
  • Conduct pricing and trade lane analysis using APCC internal and external benchmarking data
  • Support the APCC team with initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc tasks as needed

To apply for Sales / Business Development, you are excellent at:

  • Prepare internal pricing template bid requirements and pre-populate benchmark / target rates into internal pricing sheet
  • Conduct Port-Verification process and launch assigned RFQ’s to the Regional tender / pricing teams
  • Conduct quality assessment (sanity check) of the regions and countries pricing team’s submissions
  • Reviews and benchmark pricing received from the countries to ensure competitive submissions to the customers
  • Follow up with regions pricing counterparts and take necessary measures to ensure pricing competitiveness and quality submissions (complete, accurate, timely)
  • Compile regions / countries pricing and submit to sales account / bid owner within the agreed timeline
  • Follow up with sales account / bid owner to collect and provide RFQ status including post-mortem summary
  • Update APCC RFQ database, RFQ Logs and KPI’s monitoring sheet in timely manner
  • Regular updates on RFQ status, pricing and trade lanes analysis status reports
  • Follow and execute agreed APCC Team KPI’s and support APCC team initiatives
  • Support agreed pricing process, data quality and compliance

Your Success Profile includes:

  • Completed University degree / Polytechnic / Industry apprenticeship
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Air Pricing, Operations, Business or Pricing Analysist, Customer service or Sales planning/support
  • Good knowledge of AFR forwarding business and proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong English verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to properly engage with region/country pricing teams of different cultural backgrounds
  • Solution driven, self-disciplined and self-motivated to produce outstanding results and be detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical mind ideally paired with operational experience to be able to quickly understand and challenge country bid input
  • Ability to work under pressure to cope with periods of high workload and tight timelines
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills with good understanding of its basic functions e.g., Pivot table, V/X-LOOKUP, etc.
